A Short Exchange Story: Elvis in Deauville
In Deauville, we have found tickets for an Elvis concert! As we commemorate today the 40th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death, we found in Deauville a ticket for the concert he was supposed to play in Lexington.
Olivier Anfry, well known in Deauville as an electrician and also a city counselor, was in Lexington in August 1977.
He was there on a student exchange. He remembers very well the fever in town expecting The King for the concert and also the shock of his death leading to cancel the performance. He had a ticket for this very special event. Every time he hears about Elvis, he associates it with Lexington of course!
